Tong Seng

Today we had small 'makan-makan' at Chandra & Lisa's house, to celebrate Burhan's graduation.
and we have special menu.. TONG SENG :)
I don't remember when was the last time I ate Tong Seng.. It must be in Jogja or Klaten.
That's why I don't want to miss this opportunity :p
This Tong Seng was cooked by Mas Chandra, and it tasted very good.. :)
For you who never ate Tong Seng before, let me introduce you a little bit about this food..

Tong seng is a Javanese food. It's like a soup, but the water is not much.
There are meat and vegetable in it.
For meat, usually we use 'daging kambing' (what do we call 'daging kambing' in English?).
This meat is cut into pieces/small block.
For the vegetable, we only use cabbage. It is also cut into pieces (but not too small).
For other ingredients, I'm not really sure.. but I think we use: chili, salt, pepper, garlic (white and red garlic), garlic leaves, and.. hmm.. something that we use to make the color becomes a little bit brown and dark.. (I don’t know what it is)
and what else.. (do you have any idea? maybe you know..)

How to make Tong Seng? Hmm.. I don’t know exactly.. but maybe first you need to fry some ingredients (with little oil), then add some water and put the meat and vegetables.
After that you have to wait until the meat is soft (eatable :p).
It’s also possible to cook the meat first (seperately) until half cooked, and after that you can use it for Tong Seng.

We eat Tong Seng with rice and Acar (small blocks of cucumbers and carrots with vinegar and water). You can also add some fresh chili if you want. And it’s better to eat Tong Seng when it’s still warm (or hot).

Party dan pulang duluan

Mau cerita soal party dan pulang duluan.

Selama di sini, udah beberapa kali ikutan party bareng temen-temenku. Biasanya sih birthday party atau party2 kampus.
Dan biasanya party2 kyk gini bisa sampe malam atau subuh baru kelar.

Ga tau kenapa, setelah diinget-inget(in) sama temenku (dia complaint), ternyata aku sering banget suka pulang duluan.. Dia sebel gitu dan selalu tanya kenapa aku selalu pulang duluan.
Hmm.. jd ga enak jg aku.
Sebenernya bukan krn ga suka party atau gimana.. tapi selalu ada alasan mesti pulang.
Kayak kemaren, terpaksa pulang duluan dr bday partynya Xiang..
abis kepikiran terus sama paper yg blum kelar2 juga.. :(
Apa aku terlalu kuatir ya? terlalu serius?
Abis gimana ga panikk... 4 hari lagi mesti dikumpulin dan aku baru nulis dikit bangetttt.. :((
Kalo otakku bisa diajak lari cepet sih ga papa deh.. lha ini otaknya lemot gini.. lambat banget banget panasnya.. (efek 3 taun kerja nih)
kalo disuruh ngerjain sepotong2, dikit banget progressnya (makanya skrg diniatin begadang).

Balik ke soal pulang duluan.
Mungkin jg krn aku ga terlalu suka jenis partynya kali ya?
Pusing jg sih lama2 di party yg musiknya ga karuan trus pd nge-dance ga karuan juga.. (biasanya sih ini partynya anak2 India.. :p *no offense lho*)
Masih mending partynya anak Amerika latin kyknya.. lagu sama dance nya masih bisa dinikmati.. (asik jg lho dansanya.. dan rata2 mrk bisa dansa)
Mungkin kalo asik jdnya ga pingin cepet2 pulang.

Jadi kenapa pulang duluan, mungkin krn ada kerjaan, partynya ga asik, atauu.. dah capek.. hehe..
Kadang kok suka sayang aja buang2 waktu.. mending ngerjain yg lain.. spt nulis blog kyk gini salah satunya.. (jelas2 lagi begadangan ngerjain tugas eh kok ya sempet2nya nulis ga karuan kyk gini... *doohh*)

Dah ah, balik kerja lagi..

Fröhe Ostern

Paskah pertama di Jerman..
ternyata suasananya tidak lebih ramai dari Natal.. cenderung lebih sepi malah.
Minggu suci seperti biasanya.. misa, misa dan misa.
Bedanya kali ini ga diawali dgn pengakuan dosa :p Ya sutralah.

Misa-misa di minggu suci isinya sama spt di Indo dan di gereja Katolik lainnya dimana-mana.
Mungkin bedanya adalah:
Daun yg dipake utk Minggu Palma bukan daun palem, tapi kurang lebih kayak gambar di bawah itu.
Waktu ikut misa Kamis Putih di Emden, jumlah orang yg dibasuh kakinya cuman 5 orang.. 2 ibu-ibu, 2 bapak-bapak, dan 1 anak kecil umur sekitar 10 tahunan :) *baru kali ini liat anak kecil dibasuh kakinya sama pastur*

Upacara cium salib pada saat misa Jumat Agung akhirnya diganti dgn hormat berlutut di depan salib gara-gara salibnya cuman ada 1, jadi kelamaan umatnya pada ngantri.. :p

Tahun ini ga ikut misa malam paskah.. gara-gara ketiduran :(
Padahal dari seluruh jenis misa, aku paling suka misa malam paskah.. ga tau kenapa.. paling bagus aja.. dan meriah.. :) Soalnya bisa nyanyi Halleluya -nya Handel.. hehehehe.. :p

Misa minggu Paskah.. ternyata ga terlalu rame.. alias sepi.
Yang rame malah misa senin paskahnya.. (di sini ada Ostern Montag, jadi hari Senin masih libur jg)
Misa bareng-bareng orang2 Indo di Hamburg. Lumayan banyak yg dateng.
Abis itu diikuti dgn acara makan bersama.
Lumayan seru..
Saking serunya, sampe besoknya hampir semua yg dateng pada kena diare.. hehehe.. :p
Kayaknya sih ada yg salah di salah satu makanannya..
Jadi biarpun udah di Jerman, tetep aja bisa diare... :)

Tangan dan Kaki

Barusan mau nyalain lampu, tapi baru aja mencet saklarnya tau-tau bola lampunya berkedip sebentar trus langsung mati..
Kejadian ini kalo diinget-inget udah sering banget aku alamin.
Mungkin lampu kamar tidur ku di rumah adalah lampu yg paling sering harus diganti gara-gara putus/mati..
Dan selalu putusnya pas aku lagi mencet saklar buat nyalain.
Kenapa ya tanganku..

Lain tangan, lain pula kaki.
Kaki ku sering banget kesandung kabel.
Mulai dari kabel telepon, kabel laptop (sampe copot.. sorry :( ), kabel earphone (sampe mo copot juga earphone-nya), kabel flash disk, dan kabel-kabel lainnya.

Suka bingung jadinya..

I like this book although I'm still in the middle of reading it.
The book tells about conflict management (how to improve troubled business relationship).
The writers give many sample cases related to each topic.
I find many interesting topics in this book, that I believe it's very useful also for every human relationship.
