Cakes

Have you ever been in the situation like this?
You sometimes or often do something in your life, something that you like to do, and you never stop doing it, and you don’t realize that it’s probably something you’re good at.
Why could this happen? Perhaps because we never really pay attention to it.

For my case, now I know that I like making cakes.. =)
(I use the word “make” and not “bake” because not all cakes need to be baked.)
and probably I’m good at it.. (still need some time to prove this :p)
I should know this earlier.. but this-stupid-me never really looked at it.
Until now.

It started on elementary school time, when I helped my mom making cakes.
It was fun (from my side), but perhaps a bit annoying for my mom hehe.. because I wanted to do this and that by myself.
Later I could make the cake alone, just followed mom’s instruction/recipes.
So every time we had our birthday (no matter who – mom, dad, me, or sis), I always made the birthday cake =)
It’s fun, because you can decorate your own birthday cake by yourself. I can put the cream inside, make it 2 or 3 layers, create the flowers or write some texts on the cake..
And it definitely taste much better than the cake you buy from the shop.
Because we make the cream from the butter and lots of sugar.. (so it’s sweet enough)

Of course it’s not always fun. There’re also time when the cake is bantat (cannot bake properly) or burned. Sometimes they’re ugly too.
And for this, I ever had one bad experience. I made a birthday cake for my dad for him to bring to his office. But the result was not perfect, and mom said it’s ugly.
And I cried because of it hehe.. :p Lucky I have a wonderful father who said it’s okay, and he brought that to his office.. :)

Anyway, it continues..
During my stay here, I’ve made several cakes. A birthday cake for Katrin, pie apple, and the last one is tiramisu that I bring today to the office, for example..
Now I feel that I could be good at this.
But first I need to get rid of my laziness.. and also people who like to eat my cakes.. =)

Hmm… I'm just thinking.. coffee and cake. C&C. Sounds good..
