Anyway.. what are the lessons learned for me after this 1.5-year?
1. You have to be precise (or if I take my big boss' saying: to be crystal clear) on what you define, describe, and write. Minimize the Grey zone.
The interesting is, we can be sooo thoughtful on what we're writing on our marketing stuff, but it is really difficult to get people review the content of a Terms & Conditions. Why it is interesting, because basically you have all the description and delivery of your service written on the T&C. If it is well described there, then you'll have well defined marketing stuff.. or am I wrong?
2. Ready to have changes every month, week, even within one day on what you have worked on. I don't say it's wrong or right, but sometimes it could make sense. For basically we can define whatever we want to have or do in a service product, and sometimes the question is not whether it can or cannot be done but more we want or don't want to have it.
Anyhow, if the changing is too often, it's sometimes frustrating as well. Definitely it will make you (as developer) down down and down..
3. You cannot work alone. Even to write one sentence. Because this one sentence has to be understandable by everybody and (the most important:) everybody has the same understanding of the meaning (or the message behind). Or maybe it applies only for newbies like me? (who has zero experience)
4. Communication is important. Face to face, not by email or phone. At first I thought everybody can make the optimum use of email (to validate something, e.g.) to save time, but I'm wrong. Well, at least in my situation.
5. Share/communicate what you have done, don't wait until you think you've finished it. Because when that time comes, it could happen that you've actually done nothing. :(
huahh.. udah ah.. capek.. 2 hari pulang jam 7 mulu .. bakal 4 hari berturut2 pulang malam mulu nih kyknya .. hmm.. jalanin aja deh.. no choice. It's like you do it or you die :p
